We both graduated from UC Davis in Enology, and actually met there at a wine tasting. Before and after graduation, we worked as winemakers in Napa Valley and the Central Coast and decided we wanted to someday start our own winery. We spent 15 years outside the wine industry working in Silicon Valley, and planning our eventual vineyard purchase. After we found this property in 1995, we spent our weekends and vacations establishing the vineyard. Our first Cedarville Vineyard wines came from the 1998 vintage. In May 1999, passion finally overcame good sense and we moved to the vineyard to build our estate winery and focus on our wines full time.
