Many of you have commented, and I agree, Syrah is the most consistent wine we make here at Cedarville vineyard. I’m an unabashed Syrah fan, from here and around the world. As has been the case for many years now, the 2020 Syrah hails from the top rows on our highest elevation, east facing block. This vintage is attention grabbing with its tremendous presence and complexity, leading with plum, espresso, cream, and cinnamon spice aromatics, followed by flavors including ripe blueberry, Tuscan beef stew, framed by deceptively large, yet seamless tannins, luxurious oak, snappy acidity and sneaky richness. Amazing with roasted garlic, tapenade, roasted vegetables and grilled meats. Classic Cedarville Syrah, and a beauty!
